Hollywood Baby!!

So it is official. I am going to Hollywood to present my book 'The Rose of Cavendish' to a bunch of Hollywood Producers in the hopes that someone will like it enough to sign me and make it into a movie or something.

If not, oh well. I can at least say that I was one of the 150 authors invited to attend the event! Which in itself is already a big accomplishment. So I'm not really complaining.

In other news...(I'm sounding like the local channel) ... I'm trying hard to find time to work on book 2: The Memory of Cavendish. Which starts off in a place called....you guessed it...Cavendish, Vermont. An absolutely beautiful place in the forest. But I'm contemplating if I should keep the whole story there or if I should move it after a while to the characters, Declan, Cailean and Philip's home in Salem, New York.
We'll see how it goes as the story progressess.

Other than that, I don't have much more to say. So I'll leave you with that.

Oh, and if you want to read more or know more on a regular bases...follow me on Twitter @lala_lea or on facebook: The Rose of Cavendish.

The Memory

Ok, so I have been working the entire weekend on book number 2: The Memory of Cavendish: A memory, A destiny, A Choice. But I have to say, I actually came very far with it. The Characters and scenes have been planned, the synopsis has been written and everything. The book isn't finished yet, and I know what many people say: How can you write your synopsis when the book isn't finished?

Well my dear reader, that is actually very simple. You see, when I sarted the synopsis, the smaller detail, you know, the ones you tell yourself you'll work out later when you get to that point, fell into place and the story is perfect.

Now the only thing left to do is finish the story.

Wish me luck.

Hhhmmm

It has been three months now with no feedback. I'm beginning to wonder if I should find myself a literary agent and a new publisher. But within the same throught train there is a little man yelling at me to wait until the book fair is gone. Now the question stands...Do I listen?

Also within that very same train, just in another cabin, I have ideas for book 2. I know all the twists and turns; the ups and downs, and everything. But again the question is...Do I comply?

What is the use of having a creative mind, but the Muse has left the building? Oh boy, I feel like Scar from The Lion King: "Forgive me if I'm not leaping for joy. Bad back you know."

At least I found two destinations for book 2: Salem, NY & Cavendish, VT. I know that book 1 was too fast paced, I'm working on it. But I promise that Book 2; also known as The Memory of Cavendish, will be better written, with more detail and not so fast paced.

Hopefully everything will go my way this year.

The End

Well, the book has been written. It has been edited and now is published. What to do next? Well in my opinion, write another one while waiting response for the first one. I know it is a terrible idea. I'm waiting since end October 2011 for any news on my book, but unfortunately the sales are busy updating on the publisher site.

Then again, I suppose the fact that I have been selected to promote my book at the LA & Tuscan Book fair this year is a good sign as well as the fact that the publishers has sent it to Hollywood might give anyone hope, but the problem still is, that I have to wait. And I hate waiting.

Book 2: The Memory of Cavendish is in the writing process now. This one I'm going to make longer, considering that there are a lot more details to tend to. I would love some feedback about what everyone would like to read in a Faery tale story!

Don't be shy, just close your eyes and write what you feel. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

It is done!

Now I can really say finally!

I am done with it. Never thought it would feel this good. I have submitted it to the publishers and they let me know that they have received it and are busy with the edit. Now the only thing I can do is wait.

It seems as if the days are going to stretch on forever. I mean how long can 40 days be? Well long enough to make me anxious for one.

Finally

Well, it's been a long time!

I have finally finished....the cover! aaahhh! I wish it was the book though! I can't wait to get it published but then again it's taking forever to finish!

The thing is, well I think it's the problem, is that I am not just writing a normal fiction where I can BS my way through the book. There is an extreme amount of research done. Yeah I know I bring it upon myself, but I don't want to write a book that has no imagination in it. A good book has a good story line, a great book has a great background. Well, that's what I think anyway!

I have read a few books that has a really great story to it, but the imagination is lacking. It makes the story seem dull. Hope mine won't fall into that same catergory, otherwise....

Anyway, you can check out my new cover on various places:

Till later (Not too late though)
